Damoh (MP), Oct 8: Authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district seized around 2,000 bags carrying images of state Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya in connection with the implementation of the model code of conduct in the poll-bound state.

The election code of conduct came into force in Madhya Pradesh Saturday after the Election Commission announced poll dates for five states.

MP will go to polls on November 28 and counting of votes will be carried out on December 11.

Following a complaint, a team comprising police and district authorities Sunday seized 2,000 bags, containing sanitary pads and soaps among other things, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ravindra Choukse said.

These bags carried an image of Malaiya, the official said, adding that such articles could not be distributed as it would violate the model code of conduct that has come into force in the state.

He informed that they were meant for a centre run by the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission that imparts training to members of self help groups (SHGs).

These bags were seized from different places and a case under relevant sections of the Public Representative Act and IPC has been registered against SHG manager Akhilesh Shukla and driver Lalchand Ahirwar.

The two were carrying 600 such bags to a village, the SDM added. (PTI)

KULGAM, OCTOBER 03:  Government Higher Secondary School D. K. Marg (Noorabad) in Kulgam district celebrated its annual day function today during which several cultural programs, topics and skits were presented by various groups of students.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM Noorabad highlighted the importance of education. On the occasion, Principal of the institute appreciated the performances of the students and said that “these functions provide a platform to students where they can showcase their hidden talent and added that School will organise such functions in future too.

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 03: With a view to ensure free and fair conduct of Municipal elections and to facilitate the field functionaries with Election process in Municipal Committee Pattan/Kunzer, the Chief Electoral Officer has appointed Nazir Ahmad Mir as the General Observer for the said municipalities.
The offices of the Observer have been established in the SDM office Pattan and Town Hall Kunzer for Municipal Committees Pattan and Kunzer respectively.

BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 24: The Health Department Budgam today started Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign across the district.
ADC Budgam Khurshid Ahmad Shah presided over a vaccination function held at GBHS Ompora Budgam in collaboration with ICDS and Education Department Budgam.
Among others, the programme was attended by CMO Budgam, Dr GM Dar, CEO Rouf A Shahmiri, DHO, Dr Raina, Headmistress BHS Ompora and other concerned.
The ADC said that all schools must prepare a schedule and communicate with the parents about the vaccination.
On the occasion, a large number of children and students were vaccinated on spot by the technical and trained staff.
Similar vaccinations programmes were also organized across the district at Sub- District and Tehsil levels. Concerned SDMs and Tehsildars presided over the functions.

Inaugurates various developmental projects
BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 24: Principle Secretary Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Transport Department concluded 3-day visit of Gurez sub-division during which he inaugurated various developmental projects, besides laying foundation stone and conveyed meeting.
The Principle Secretary was accompanied by Director Fisheries R.N Pandita, Director Animal Husbandry Dr. M.Y. Chaproo, Director Sheep Husbandry, Mohammad ShariefKuthoo, Joint Director Fisheries, SDM Gurez, General Manager SRTC and other district officers.
The Principle Secretary took the stock of 11000 fingerling size of trout seeds in artificial reservoir created due to construction of power project on Kishan Ganga river and NallaChurwan. He also laid foundation stone of survey/ inspection hut funded by NHPC at Dawar Gurez costing Rs. 630.78 Lakh. He was informed that the project will be completed in phase manner at Gurez and Bandipora. In first phase, the works will be executed at Gurez which will include construction of survey/inspection Hut, construction of feed store, two pairs of American type race ways, construction of farm Hut, fencing of trout farm at wanpora Gurez and laying of 300 mm pipeline with a project cost of Rs.132.22 lakh.
The Principle Secretary also inspected trout farm at Wanpora and private Hatchery at Baghtore and reviewed the progress of both the units.
Dr. Samoon inaugurated two-storey building of veterinary office cum sheep extension centre at Dawar on which Rs. 60.11 Lakh stand expended.
He also distributed medicine kits among 40 sheep breeders and also listened to grievances and demands of breeders after inaugurating another two storey veterinary Hospital cum laboratory at Dawar. Dr. Samoon distributed cheques worth Rs. 63000 among seven national Yak care takers, besides 1440 poultry chicks among house holders.
The Principle Secretary visited Shiekhpora Tulail, Tarbal, Bagtore and Izmarg to listen public issues. He assured people that their genuine demands would be considered on priority.
Dr. Samoon also convened a meeting of concerned officers which was attended by General Manager SRTC, besides ARTO Bandipora, Mouzzum Ali and other officers. The meeting discussed threadbare about the progress of various departments and public needs including basic amenities. Focus was given on transport facility and the Principle Secretary directed the concerned officers to make special arrangements of internal mini-bus service in Gurez to overcome the transport problems of the people particularly students and ailing persons. He also stressed for mini- bus service to be plied between Bandipora and Gurez. He asked all the officers to give priority to public grievances and solve them within shortest possible period. He said that the people need to be made aware about departmental and welfare schemes launched by state government and central government.
The meeting was informed that 44 carp fish and 16 trout fish units have been established in the district, besides under welfare schemes 390 registered fisherman given financial assistance for the construction of low-cost houses during 2016- 17.

Stresses on achieving 100% target under SAUBHAGYA
UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 15: To review the SAUBHAGYA and other centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) of Power sector for Udhampur and Reasi District, a meeting of officers was held under the Chairmanship of Commissioner/Secretary, Power Development Department, Hirdesh Kumar in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, Udhampur here.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar, Chief Engineer Project Wing, Avinash Dubey, Chief Engineer EM&RE, Sudhir Gupta, Director Planning PDD, Rakesh Jamwal, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Noor Alam, SDMs besides other district and sectoral officers of concerned departments and field functionaries of PDD department.
Executive Engineers of the concerned districts gave a power point presentation of targets and achievements under various schemes.
During the meeting, Kumar took an extensive review of various schemes being launched by the government of India under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan including SAUBHAGYA, PMDP, Deen Dayal Upaddhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and other such schemes.  He directed the concerned officers to engage in a significant outreach programme to push its flagship programmes for achieving “100% targets in rural as well as urban areas under SAUBHAGYA.
He further directed for setting weekly and monthly targets of electrification and completion of the pending targets.
Kumar stressed on providing electricity to the deprived households in these districts under SAUBHAGYA and other rural electrification schemes by November this year.
He appreciated the efforts of PDD, Udhampur for minimum AT & T losses and asked the department to reduce these losses further.
The DDC informed that the necessary instructions have been already given to the concerned officers to involve Numberdar, Chowkidar and field functionaries of other Line departments to achieve the targets under several power schemes on mission mode for which. Executive Engineer PDD was also asked to submit micro planning to cover the left-out households to avoid last moment pressure.

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 10: A two Day Kargil Ladakh Tourism Festival today concluded at Thang ManiringmoPadum Zanskar.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Rakash Kumar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sankoo and Chief Executive Officer Zanskar Development Authority, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani, Assistant Director Tourism, Zanskar, TundupNamgail, Assistant Director Information, Kargil Abdul Ahad Bhat, Tehsil Officer, President Muslim Association, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, President Buddhist Association, Chastar, a large number of people and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM Zanskar highlighted the importance of the festival. He said that such festivals provide a platform to the local youth to showcase their talent besides it also helps in promoting local tourism potential.
Assistant Director Tourism, Zanskar in his speech stressed on the need for preserving local heritage and culture.
Hundreds of artists from different places of the Sub Division Zanskar presented a colourful reception for the Chief Guest and guests on the occasion.
Local ethnic food stalls and local handicraft exhibition was also displayed by various women associations at the venue.
The facility of Yak and horse riding was also kept available for the attraction of locals, foreigners and domestic tourists alike.
An archery match between eight teams from different parts of Zanskar was also held during the event. A colourful cultural programme depicting the culture and traditions of Zanskar was the main attraction of the event.
Later, the SDM Zanskar, SDM Sankoo, Assistant Director Tourism and Assistant Director Information Kargil distributed cash awards among the participating artists and players.

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 03: Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jammu South, Kulbushan Khajuria today visited various parts of the Jammu and interacted with people of Lower Chowadhi, Greater Kailash, Bhour Camp to redress their issues.
He was accompanied by DySP South Rafiq Manhas.
SDM assured the people of Bhour Camp that their grievances will be looked into and taken up at appropriate levels in the Government.
At Lower Chowadhi, a deputation comprising prominent people of the area apprised him of sanitation as well as encroachment of a local shrine complex.

KATHUA, AUGUST 29: District Development Commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of officers to review the progress under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and (Urban). He called for mobilizing resources for making Kathua Open Defecation Free district by 15th September 2018.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua Shubra Sharma, ADC Billawar, ADC Basohli, ACD Kathua, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Bani, CEO Municipality Kathua along with EO’s of Municipalities besides Block Development Officers attended the meeting.
The DDC emphasized on geo tagging of constructed IHHL, which requires concerted efforts of RDD employees and directed BDOs of Kathua district to finish it before 5th September. He said that SBM should be a public movement and need of hour is to change the behavior of individuals and make village ODF for health benefits.
For verification of these IHHL, special teams have been constituted at Panchayat Level, Block Level and District Level to verify these IHHL as per verification sheet of SBM guidelines. For this purpose, heads of different departments including ADC, ACR, CMO, DPO, Social Welfare Officer, etc were directed to depute their officials to concerned Magistrates who shall work in a coordinate manner with officials from other departments to expedite the verification process of all Panchayats, Blocks within the specified time frame.
DDC further directed all the Magistrates and Heads of departments to gear up men and machinery for verification of IHHL before the deadline of September 10. He appreciated the role of RDD and Municipalities for the overall progress achieved under the scheme. Geo tagging of the assets has to be given impetus so that overall percentage is achieved in time bound manner, for this direction were issued to all BDO’s to devise strategy so that set target is achieved.
He gave directions regarding ODF verification process and conducting mass awareness programmes on sanitation. The DDC stressed for overall sanitation and cleanliness of the district.
It is pertinent to mention here that DDC has constituted a team of District and Block level officers to verify on ground conditions of the Toilets constructed under SBM-G for which the verification process is going on and the team constituted will submit the verification report within 10 days. Municipal Council Lakhanpur has already been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF) and stood third in the Division as per the inspection conducted by Quality Council of India (QCI) in SBM-U.

DODA, AUGUST 27: The District Development Commissioner, Doda, Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting of SDRF (State Disaster Response Fund) and took stock of the status of works covered under it.
ADDC Doda, ADC Doda, SDM Thathri, XeN Bhaderwah, Thathri, Gandoh and Kishtwar, Tehsildars, BDOs, Naib Tehsildars besides district officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC was informed about the ex-gratia sanctioned under SDRF. 
The DDC directed the concerned departments to cover all the pending works under SDRF in time bound manner and laid stress on maintaining close coordination among the departments.
Further, a procedure for processing claims and various other issues regarding SDRF were also discussed in the meeting.

BUDGAM, AUGUST 27: District Development Commissioner Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today directed that sector wise disaster management plans for better and prompt response towards different natural and manmade disasters be made.
 These remarks were made by the DDC while chairing a meeting of District Disaster Management and Preparedness at New Conference Hall Budgam. The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam Khursheed Ahmad Shah, SDM Chadoora, Beerwah, Khansahab, SE Hydrolics, CMO Budgam, all Tehsildars, all EOs of Municipal Committees and other concerned.
          Emphasizing on the fool proof readiness, the DDC directed all the concerned departments to submit list of their available resources and demands and pendency’s in respect of preparedness without further delay so that the objective to ensure prompt and effective response towards disaster is mitigated to prevent the loss of public life and property.
The DDC directed all the SDMs to conduct their zone wise mapping of the vulnerable/hazard areas so that timely measures are initiated proactively.
          She directed that safety audit of all government buildings particularly schools and hospitals must be conducted on urgent basis. She also asked the concerned to ensure the identified relief and evacuation centers to be used as evacuation points in all vulnerable areas are safe and feasible.
          The DDC also directed the concerned Tehsildars to identify the persons/volunteers who will be trained in swimming, diving and rowing so that during any emergency their services could be utilized in the affected areas.
 The DDC urged the concerned to conduct mock drills in all schools of the district for mass awareness.

DODA, AUGUST 16: District Development Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh reviewed the arrangements for ongoing and forthcoming yatras in and from Bhaderwah in a meeting here today at meeting hall DC office Doda.
The arrangements for smooth conduct of Annual Holy Machail Yatra, Manimahesh Yatra and Kailash yatra were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Pawan Kumar Parihar, CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority, SDMs, CPO, ACD other officers besides EO MC Bhaderwah, DFO, BMO, XEN PDD/PHE, Tehsildar.
The DDC directed the ARTO to arrange the required number of buses for transportation of yatris besides ensuring that no overloading to be done by the vehicles.
Health department was directed to provide Medicare and ambulance along with doctors and paramedical staff and EO Municipal Committee was asked to ensure cleanliness in and around the town and at the main venues of yatras. Directions with regard to temporary installations of toilets were also passed to municipal committee.
Arrangements pertaining to uninterrupted supply of electricity, availability of water, smooth movement of traffic, availability of firewood and essential services were also reviewed in the meeting.

BUDGAM, AUGUST 11: Arrangements for ensuing Muharram-ul-Harram were reviewed today in a meeting convened under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar.
The meeting was attended by SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh, ADC Khurshid Ahmad Shah, ASP, SE Hydraulics, EXEN R&B, PHE, Electricity, SDM Khansahib, Beerwah, Chadoora, Executive officers of Municipal Communities, representatives of prominent Shia Anjumans including all Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian Darul Mustufa and Yousf Abad Budgam, All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, All J&K Itihadul Muslemeen and Presidents of Auqaf Committees were also present.
At the outset, the representatives of various organizations put forward their issues with respect to arrangements for Muharram. Giving a patient hearing to them, the DDC assured them that all of their issues would be resolved. Further she said that the purpose to hold the meeting in advance was to seek their views and a follow up meet would also be held.
During the meeting, the CMO Budgam furnished the action plan with regard to the arrangements to be made for Muharram. The Deputy Commissioner urged the CMO to ensure that the plan is implemented in letter and spirit.
Similarly, the PDD authorities were directed to ensure High Mast lights/ Halogen Bulbs and LEDs are in place at all important places and besides ensuring generator sets are installed at identified locations, they were also directed to ensure that street lights are fully functional. The PHE authorities were directed to ensure that water tanks are provided at identified locations. Further, they were directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and drinking water during the Muharram days.
The R&B authorities were directed to ensure that the dilapidated roads if any from where the procession would take place are repaired at the earliest. The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department was directed to ensure adequate supply and prompt distribution of ration, sugar, k-oil and LPG. Regarding firewood the SFC department has been directed to dump the required quantity of firewood at already identified locations as per past practice.
Similarly the Municipal authorities were directed to ensure that there is no laxity with regard to sanitation and cleanliness and to launch a drive well in advance of Muharram. The Rural Development authorities were asked to supplement their efforts in support of municipal committees for ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness drive during ensuing period.
Fire and Emergency Authorities were directed to remain prepared to deal with any eventuality. The ARTO was directed to ensure special transport facilities till the conclusion of the procession on day of Aashura for the convenience of the citizens in coordination with SRTC. Directing the officers vested with magisterial powers to maintain close liaison with police authorities, the District Development Commissioner directed them to ensure that there is no laxity in this regard. The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the officers to work in close coordination.

POONCH, AUGUST 07:   District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, along with a team of District and Sectoral Officers, today listened to public issues here at Surankote .
ACD Mukhtar Ahmed, SDM Surankote Mohammad  Rahsid Kohli, SDPO Riyaz Ahmed ,DPO Mazahar Hussain Kazmi, Executive engineers of PWD, PHE, PMGSY and I & FC, CMO Mumtaz Hussain Bhatti, CEO Mushtaq Ahmad, Tehsildar Shahid Iqbal and other senior officers of district and sub-divisional administration attended the public meeting.
The DC listened to the issues and problems of the people and assured that the  same  will be projected to Government.
 The Local representatives raised   developmental issues and other grievances of their area and urged the administration for prompt redressal. Issues raised mostly pertained to water and power supply, ration and cooking gas supply, condition of roads including Harri mohalla-Bypass road , check post road ,hospital-Mirza morh road and other important roads under PMGSY including Pamrote to Lathoong, Fazalabad to Mahrote and Mandi-Fagla CRF road.
 The People also demanded improvement in the functioning of Surankote Municipal Committee,    education sector by posting subject specialized teachers of Maths and Science and better infrastructure in schools.
For promotion of agriculture, the locals  sought establishment of Sabji Mandi, repair of irrigation canals. They also demanded blacktopping of Bafliaz-Surankote , Dundak Mandir-Mehrote  roads and ration Depots in far flung area and development of playground with sports facilities at Surankote.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured that all their grievances will be addressed and genuine demands met in a time bound manner.
The DDC called upon the public to participate in developmental process by active participation in plan formulation and keeping a vigil on execution of works and implementation of schemes. He also directed the officers to conduct extensive field visits and finalize developmental plans in due consultation with public so that benefits of the projects reach to real beneficiaries.
The DDC also informed the public that district administration Poonch will conduct similar public meeting camps in far flung areas of Surankote. He said the decision has been taken to maximize public participation in Developmental Plan Formulation.

GANDERBAL AUGUST 07: In order to provide services to the people at their doorsteps, SDM Kangan, Mehraj-u-din Shah supervised major mutation Camps, first of its kind at several remote and far off areas of Kangan today.
In these camps, supervised by SDM Kangan, a huge number of mutations were attested.
The camps were conducted at Dardwudder, Yachama and Hayanpalpora villages of Tehsil Kangan. SDM Kangan informed that next camps are scheduled in tehsil Gund at Sonamarag, Nilgrath, Sarbal and other villages of the area.       
Speaking on the occasion the SDM Kangan asked officers to work in tandem with each other as a team for the better and prompt public delivery services.
The Mutation camps were attended by Tehsildar Kangan, NT Kangan, Girdawar , patwari, concerned  lamberdars/chowkidars besides large public gathering.

KULGAM, AUGUST, 07: District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani   today chaired a meeting of the District and Sectoral officers to finalize the arrangements for the smooth and enthusiastic celebration of August 15 here at mini secretariat.
ADC, ACR, ACD, SDM Noorabad, Exen PWD (R&B), PHE, DSP Headquarters, DYSS Officer, representatives of army, besides other District and Sectoral Officer also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, it was decided that the main function will be organized in Kulgam where the Chief guest would hoist the tri-color and take the salute from the March past contingents of JKP, CRPF, NCC, and School children etc.
It was also revealed that a colourful cultural programme will also be presented by the school children on the occasion. The day will start with the playing of ShahnaiVadan in the morning.
Other necessary arrangements were also finalized which include Security, Medical Facility, Drinking water facility, un-interrupted Power supply, Sanitation and Seating arrangement etc.
The DDC asked the officer to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time and adopt coordinated approach for the smooth celebration of the Independence Day function.
It was also decided that full dress rehearsal shall be held on August 13, 2018.

BUDGAM, AUGUST 3: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar on Friday chaired a meeting of officers to take stock of the ongoing beautification work of surrounding area of shrine of Sheikh Noor ud din Noorani (r.a) and grand mosque Khankha of Char-i-Sharief in Budgam.
Among others, ADDC Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, ADC Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Nadeem Qadri Environmental Lawyer and Amicus Curiae J&K High Court, SDM Chadoora, DD Tourism, senior officers from Forest, Floriculture, Revenue and other line departments also attended the meeting. 
On the occasion, the DDC stressed on the implementation of complete ban on polythene to save the surroundings of the Shrine from any environmental degradation.
In this regard the concerned were directed to display anti-polythene use banners at the main entry gate of the shrine to warn visitors against using polythene in the area. She directed that the strict action should be taken against offenders for violation of the law.
The Floriculture officers were directed to expedite beautification work of the lawns and park of the shrine. The DDC emphasized on the tourism department to take strenuous efforts for the promotion of the Char-i-Sharief as pilgrimage tourist destination.
The DDC urged the Waqf authorities to ensure the completion of the shopping complex at the earliest for the rehabilitation of the affected shopkeepers and vendors.
She directed the concerned to remove all the illegal encroachments around the shrine and ensure better parking space for vehicle for the visiting devotees.
Meanwhile, the JKPCC authorities informed the meeting that out of an estimated cost of Rs 38 crore, an amount of Rs 30 crore has been spent on the construction of the Khankha so far.
The DDC also directed the forest department to ensure plantation of saplings at various spots for sustaining better ecology and beautification of the shrine.  
She further directed the concerned to ensure completion of drainage work and alternate lavatory blocks at the earliest to ensure maximum hassle-free services to the devotees.

PAHALGAM, AUGUST 01: SDM, Pahalgam reviewed the preparedness of the Independence Day Celebrations – 2018 here today in a meeting at Town Hall Pahalgam.
The meeting was informed that flag hoisting shall take place at 09:00 am sharp. It was given out that all the sectoral officers shall ensure their presence and the presence of their subordinate staff on the Day.
Threadbare discussions with regard to the decoration of the main venue ground, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water service, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, cleanliness, sanitation measures & other concerned were held in the meeting.

Patwaris to get latest gadgets for encroachment removal
BANDIPORA, JULY 31: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today reviewed the functioning of revenue department and launched a number of initiatives for strengthening of field offices and an extensive public outreach programme for effective public service delivery at door steps.
ACR Revenue Hamida Akhter, SDM Gurez, SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar, Girdawari and all Patwaris attended the meeting. A detailed presentation was made depicting the progress of Jamabandi, Girdawari, Mutations, digitisation of land records, providing revenue extracts.
The DC reviewed the infrastructure gaps and informed that immediate steps will be taken for construction of 34 Patwar Halqas, upgradation of offices, provision of vehicles to Tehsildars, office furniture and stationery for smooth functioning. Meanwhile, all Patwaris are being provided with Tablet computers, field bags, stationery, revenue law books, mobile phones and CUG number for efficient public service delivery and coordination among departments as well as grievance redressal.
Pursuant to the decisions taken in the meeting, 28 camps will be organised across the district with 4 camps in each tehsil for providing various services at door steps which include PRCs, income certificate, caste certificate, voter enrolment, mutations, revenue extracts and other services from various departments under the Public Service Guarantee Act. Public grievances related to different departments will be resolved in these camps.
Meanwhile, it was decided in the meeting that equipment, machinery, manpower and other logistic support will be provided to field revenue staff for removal of nearly 20,000 Kanal state and Kahcharai land. The inter-departmental taskforce at Tehsil level will coordinate for joint exercise to remove high value encroachments. Tehsildars were directed to convene meeting of all sectoral officers to review the status of land owned and reflected in records and to take immediate steps for entry of departmental assets in revenue record.
The DC directed that funds are being placed at the disposal of Tehsildar for relief and in case of damage of any house, private property, loss of life or livestock relief shall be provided within 24hours to affected family, for which an online mechanism has been developed in DC office. The revenue officers were also asked to finalize land for construction of one playfield in every village and selection of teams to be equipped and trained apart from provision of sports material.

BARAMULLA, JULY 26: Arrangements in view of the Independence Day celebration were finalized at Baramulla today during a meeting at Dak Bungalow with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash in the chair.
SSP Baramulla, Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lilly, SDM Uri, SDM Gulmarg, SDM Pattan, SEs, CMO, CEO, Officers from Police and Army, all district and Sectoral officers were present during the Meeting
During the meeting, a thorough discussion regarding the seating arrangements, presentation of cultural programmes, Parade Presentation, Security arrangement, award Presentation, etc was held. It was given out that in the district, the main function of Independence Day Celebration will be held at District Headquarter Baramulla.
It was given out that various Cultural programmes and special variety programmes will be presented by students from various schools, besides participants from Information department and Cultural Academy. Meanwhile, committees have already been put in place to look after different types of arrangements, like seating arrangements, refreshment, etc.
Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner while impressing upon the Officers to show coordination and cooperation, stressed that the committees already formulated will re-check all the arrangements put in place. He also directed the Officers of R & B, PHE, PDD and other departments to nominate Nodal Officers for ensuring that all necessary arrangements related to the Independence Day celebration are completed efficiently. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Officers to ensure the presence of all employees during the function. The meeting was also informed that awards will be also distributed among persons with remarkable contributions in various fields.
