Jammu, July 13: BJP Jammu and Kashmir specified a total of 1 Crore 30 Lakh Rupees for the specific development of Kargil region out of the funds available to party MLCs and MPs, this was disclosed in a press conference held at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora addressed the press conference. MLCs Surinder Ambardar, Girdhari Lal Raina and former Minister Priya Sethi were also present in the press conference.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing the press conference, said that the BJP has always worked on the agenda for the development of all three regions of state. He said that it was observed that the area of Kargil needed more attention and resources for meeting out its requirements for wholesome development and the party was continuously working on the blueprint for developing the region. He said that 9 MLCs from BJP and 1 former Minister namely Priya Sethi will contribute 10 lakhs each for the development of region whereas he himself as an MP and MP from Leh Thupstan Chewang will contribute 15 lakhs each for the development of the region. He said that total 1 Crore 30 lakh Rupees will be dedicatedly spent to further the process of progress in Kargil region. He claimed that this will certainly help the party to work efficiently in the region and strengthen its organizational base. He also said that the other political parties alleged that BJP was only limited to Jammu region, but we have roots in every part of Jammu & Kashmir and progress of every region with no discrimination is party’s priority.
In reply to a question, he said that the allegation of other political party of attempts being made to divide it is just a cheap publicity stunt and said that alliance was made on the agenda of the alliance which was not fulfilled. He also enumerated various accomplishments achieved due to the efforts of BJP leaders like 174 kms road, 7 NH, Zojila tunnel, Billawar Road, Akhnoor Road etc. He also forcefully said that BJP will not allow any anti-National force to raise.
Ashok Khajuria said that BJP National President, Amit Shah, in his address at Jammu cleared that now the anti-National forces will come out of their holes and that is evident now. We do not care for power seat and denounce any such statement given by any party for their petty political gains. We framed an alliance to respect the mandate given by the public so that we can work more efficiently for the development process. Anybody who will speak with hatred against India will not be spared.
Ramesh Arora, said that as an alliance partner in government, BJP has taken every step for people’s welfare and equal development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. We are totally supporting the Municipality elections and are ready to face the elections at any time, he said. He also said that BJP has always recognized 13th July as black day.

SRINAGAR, JUNE 01: - A meeting of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC Ashok Khajuria here today.
Legislators, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Dr Shehnaz Ganai and Vikram Randhawa attended the meeting and gave their suggestions to further improve the functioning of the Committee.
Threadbare discussions were held on reply submitted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) as query raised by the Committee regarding selections and promotions made by the Commission besides present status of lists of pending cases in Supreme Court and J&K High Court.
While examining the papers submitted by the PSC, it was given out that five cases were pending in the Supreme Court and 740 cases in Jammu and Kashmir High Court, besides of total 534 selection matters around 92 have been disposed-off.
The Committee issued directions for Secretary Public Service Commission to brief the Committee about the status of pending court cases in its next meeting so that the Committee would take appropriate action in this regard.
Among others, Deputy Secretary, Council, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and other senior officers and officials of Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.

SRINAGAR, MAY 24: A meeting of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC, Ashok Khajuria here today.
Legislators, Mohammad Muzaffar Paray, Dr. Shehnaz Ganai and Vikram Randhawa attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions to improve the functioning of the Committee and make it result oriented.
The Committee held detailed discussion on the rules, regulations and Act of J&K Public Service Commission (PSC). It was decided that the reply furnished by the PSC on the queries raised by the Committee would be discussed in its next meeting after scrutinizing by the members of the Committee.
The Committee directed the Council Secretariat to call Secretary PSC before the Committee to brief it about the latest status of pending Court cases of the PSC. The higher authorities of different concerned departments were directed to furnish their replies before the Committee within a stipulated time frame for the scrutiny of papers by the members of the Committee.
It was decided in the meeting that the next meeting of the Committee will be held on 1st June, 2018 at Council Secretariat.
Officers and officials of Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.

JAMMU, APRIL 06 - A meeting of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the chairmanship of MLC, Ashok Khajuria here today.
Legislators, Naresh Kumar Gupta, S Charanjeet Singh and Vikram Randhawa gave their valuable suggestions to improve the functioning of the Committee and making it result oriented.
The Committee held detailed discussions on the rules, regulations and Act of J&K Public Service Commission (PSC). It took serious view of the recently held preliminary examination conducted by the PSC, which was played by print and electronic media.
The Committee said that on this account a large number of candidates were forced to go in litigation and the Court has also intervened into the matter. It further said that it was established that in this examination, a wrong key was applied which has raised many questions on the integrity of the PSC.
The Committee desired that PSC should ensure that a copy of the minutes of whole proceedings be sent to the Committee in a sealed cover. It also sought a copy of fresh and old rules of the PSC. An enquiry report should also be furnished, besides Litigation expansion apprising the Committee about the procedure of legal expenditure.
Secretary Law, Abdul Majid Bhat briefed the Committee about the rules, regulations and Act of Department.
Among others, Special Secretary, Council, Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Additional Secretary GAD, Additional Secretary PSC, senior officers and officials of concerned department and Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.

Jammu, Feb 20: “There is more in the world than just to live and serving the society with a generous heart”, this was stated by the BJP National Vice-President, National Vice- Chairperson Indian Red Cross Society & Incharge J&K Affairs Avinash Rai Khanna who was in the state in connection with the election of new CEC, Ladakh. He was speaking on the sidelines of the function organized in the BJP state headquarter, Trikuta Nagar where he along with BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Minister for Health Bali Bhagat, Minister for PHE Sham Choudhary, MLC Vikram Randhawa, and other senior leaders felicitated former State President & MLC Ashok Khajuria and MLA Rajiv Jasrotia for being rewarded as the best legislators.
Avinash Rai Khanna, while speaking on the occasion appreciated the effort of the felicitated BJP leaders and said that this outstanding performance is the testimony to the selfless working of the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. He said that BJP doesn’t stand for a party but for a strong urge to serve the humanity. He said that this is just not the token of respect for the two leaders but as the testimony to the strong ideals of the party which are upheld in very high esteem by all the party workers. He claimed that the humbleness and softness are the two virtues of true power citing the examples of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah.  He further prompted them to work for the grass root level empowerment of common masses.
Sat Sharma also wished both and said that these leaders have taken forward the cause initiated by the likes of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay and Dr. Shyama Parsad Mookherjee. Sharma said that these leaders stand as the role model for the rest of legislatures and this stands as particularly a moment of joy for the party as its two representatives have set an paradigm of exemplary work in the Assembly.
Ashok Kaul, Bali Bhagat, Sham Choudhary were among the other prominent leaders who spoke on the occasion.
Ashok Khajuria and Rajiv Jasrotia also thanked the party leaders for their generosity and stressed that they will continue to serve the party and the public in the selfless manner in the times to come.
State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria carried the proceedings of the stage.
