Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta felicitating students


Jammu, Jan 31 :  Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta today felicitated the students who got a chance to interact with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 3rd edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha” at a function held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nowabad Jammu.

The felicitated students addressed the gathering comprising of school students, teachers and parents and shared their experiences of the trip to Delhi and interacting with the Prime Minister.

Director School Education Jammu informed that total of 4569 students from Jammu Division Schools register for the 3rd edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 and 6 out of the total of 7 students selected for the programme are from Government Schools.

She further said that the selection of students was on the basis of submission of online forms, open for the students of class 9th to 12th. The students were required to write up essays on 5 selected themes in a maximum of 1500 characters and a question for the Prime Minister in 500 characters.

A total of 85 facilitation centres with internet facility were established throughout the Jammu Division to help students in the registration process.

In addition to this, CEOs, ZEOs, Counselling Cell of DSEJ, School Education Quality Management members were required to guide and hand hold the students to ensure mass participation of the students.

The students felicitated from Jammu Division schools are Manya Pandoh (GGHSS, Mubarak Mandi Jammu), Lakshya Langeh (Government SRML School), Karishma Raina (Government Girls HSS Nowabad, Jammu), Avni Pandita (Government Girls HSS Nowabad, Jammu), Kanika Sharma (Government HSS Jorian), Sanchita (Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu) and Tushrika (Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi).


Srinagar, Aug 14 :  All educational institutions were closed today as a precautionary measure while examinations have also been postponed in the Kashmir valley. The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir University (KU) besides Board of School Education (BOSE) have already announced postponing of all scheduled examinations today. District Magistrates (DM) of several districts, particularly in south and central Kashmir have also ordered suspension of class work in Government Degree Colleges (DGCs) and Higher Secondary Schools (HSS). However, the Director School Education (DSE) issued an order for closure of all educational institutions today as a precautionary measure keeping in view of the situation. Closure of educational institutions was ordered following the killing of two youths in fresh security force firing in south Kashmir last evening, where people were protesting against the death of three Hizbul Mujahideen(HM) militants, including a self styled operational commander in 18-hour-long operation. Two army personnel were also killed and three others, including an officer were injured in the encounter, which ended yesterday morning. UNI
