Jaipur, Feb 28 :  The Rajasthan government has transferred or redesignated 15 IAS officers, including two district collectors. 

As per an order of the Department of Personnel released Wednesday night, Additional Chief Secretary Sudarshan Sethi will hold the charge of Mines and Petroleum Department. 

The charge of Forest and Environment Department, which Sethi was holding, was given to Principal Secretary Shreya Guha in addition to Tourism, Art and Culture Department. 

Surendra Singh Solanki was transferred as Sirohi District Collector while Chouthiram Meena as Sikar District Collector. 

Ashutosh Pednekar was transferred as Secretary, Panchayati Raj, Disaster and Relief Management, and Civil Defence Department, Premchand Berwal as Special Secretary, Home Department, and Kailash Chand Meena as Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.

Shakuntala Singh has been transferred as Managing Director of Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation Ltd (RAJSICO).

Sudhir Kumar Sharma has been transferred as Special Secretary, Finance and Taxation Department, and Naresh Kumar Thakral as Director, Public Services and Special Secretary, Public Grievances Redressal Department.                    [Agencies]

New Delhi, Jan 12 :  CoA chief Vinod Rai has proposed a quick enquiry into much-criticised comments made by suspended cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul but Diana Edulji fears it will be construed as a "cover up" job.

The two-member Committee of Administrators (CoA) is yet again divided and this time on how the inquiry into the latest controversy should be conducted. 

Pandya and Rahul, who attracted widespread criticism for their misogynistic comments on TV Show 'Koffee with Karan', will be back in India by Saturday or early Sunday.

In another round of unfriendly email exchange (in possession of PTI), CoA member Edulji has expressed her reservation at BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, who himself was embroiled in sexual harrasment case, conducting preliminary inquiry and fears a "cover up".

Rai on his part wants the inquiry to be finished by second ODI as delay in completing the procedure would affect the team strength.

"We should be in no hurry to conduct the inquiry as it would then look like a cover up job being done," Edulji wrote in her email response after Rai wanted inquiry to be completed quickly as team strength has gone down from 15 to 13.

"We must take a view by the time second ODI gets over as we cannot afford to debilitate team strength due to delinquent behaviour on the part of some player," Rai had written.

While legal team had advised appointment of ad-hoc ombudsman for which Rai wants the view of amicus.

However Edulji wants CoA and office bearers to be part of the inquiry as CEO's presence will be perceived as "bad optics" according to her.            PTI

Hyderabad, Aug 20: Telangana IAS Officers' Association today said it has resolved to contribute at least one day salary of the serving officers to the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Expressing concern at the loss of lives and hardship faced by the people in the floods, the association extended solidarity and support for the ongoing rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts being carried out in the state.

"The Telangana State IAS Officers' Association further resolved to contribute at least one day salary of the serving IAS officers in Telangana to the CM Relief Fund of Kerala as a small contribution to the rescue, relief and rehabilitation work," a statement issued by the association said.

Telangana Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy yesterday handed over a cheque for Rs 25 crore to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram as assistance for the state government's flood relief activities. (PTI)

Outgoing Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Hemant Kumar Sharma while welcoming Sanjeev Verma apprised him about the functioning of the Divisional Commissioner Office and various other issues.
Assistant Commissioner Central, Muzaffar Ali Malik, Revenue Attorney, Kewal Krishan besides other staff members of Div Com office were present on the occasion.

New Delhi, Jun 19 :  IAS officers today said they were waiting for a formal communication from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for a meeting at the secretariat here to end the impasse following the alleged assault on the chief secretary earlier this year.

Their statement comes a day after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia requested Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Anil Baijal to hold a meeting between the government and the bureaucrats to end the ongoing deadlock.

The officers are waiting for a formal communication for a meeting with the chief minister following his assurance over ensuring safety and dignity of bureaucrats, the IAS AGMUT Association said.

Sources, however, said Baijal may not convene the meeting as the L-G office had already asked the AAP government to sit with the officers and end the stalemate following the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash in February.

"#DelhiAtWork #NoToStrike In the context of Honble CM's assurance, we await formal communication for a meeting with him in the Delhi Secretariat. We reiterate that we continue to be at work," the association tweeted.

Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues have been holding a sit-in at the L-G office demanding a direction to officers to end their "strike" and have the doorstep ration delivery scheme approved.

The chief minister tweeted, "We wrote a letter to Hon'ble LG yesterday seeking meeting of all stakeholders. We r awaiting response from Hon'ble LG. Hon'ble LG awaiting green signal from Hon'ble PM, who has to take the decision Whole Delhi waiting for Hon'ble PM to decide fast."

Yesterday, the Delhi government and the IAS officers expressed their readiness for talks to end the impasse.

Sisodia had written to Baijal requesting him to call a meeting between AAP ministers and the bureaucrats to resolve the issue. The chief minister had also assured the officers on Sunday that he would ensure their safety and security.

The officers had yesterday welcomed Kejriwal's assurance about their safety, saying they were open to formal discussions with the chief minister on the matter.

"I hope LG calls a meeting soonest to resolve this issue. (sic)," Kejriwal had tweeted after Sisodia's letter.

The officers had said that they looked forward to "concrete interventions" for their security and dignity, a move that may break the four-month-long impasse between the AAP dispensation and the bureaucrats following the alleged assault on Prakash by some ruling party MLAs at the chief minister's residence.PTI

New Delhi, Jun 12: AAP leaders and workers camped outside the chief minister's residence here today in support of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues who have been staging a sit-in at the Lieutenant Governor's office, and asserted that they would continue the fight for the rights of the people without any compromise.
Tents have been put up outside Kejriwal Civil Lines residence. 
This is a fight for the rights of the people of Delhi, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh told reporters outside the chief minister's residence.
"At the instance of Narendra Modi, the Lt Governor has crippled Delhi government. We will not keep quiet now and fight till the last," Singh asserted.
Flanked by senior party leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi Marlena, the party MP said that they were prepared for a long drawn battle over issues of full statehood, IAS officers' strike and the schemes of government including doorstep delivery of ration, allegedly curtailed by the LG.
"Modi is behind the crippling of Delhi government's functioning using the Lt Governor as a pawn." 
Singh said that he was in touch with opposition leaders such as D Raja of the CPI and Sitaram Yechury of the CPI(M) over the developments in Delhi.
Singh also attacked former Delhi Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit over the full statehood issue.
"She ruled for ten years when Congress was at the Centre. Why did the full statehood was promised in their manifesto if they did not want it," he said 
Bhardwaj said that the IAS officers of Delhi were on strike although they denied in a press statement yesterday.
Citing rules, he said that even "slowing down" work and not attending meetings called by ministers was a form of strike.
"Over a dozen show-cause notices and memos have been sent to the officers, but the situation is the same. They are shying away from openly admitting their strike because they will lose their jobs since rules do not permit it," he said.
Marlena said that government works including those related with education and pollution were hampered due to the strike.
Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia, Labour Minister Gopal Rai and Health Minister Satyendar Jain spent the night at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's office to press for their demands including a direction to IAS officers to end their "strike" and action against officers who have struck work for "four months". (PTI)

Bengaluru, Mar 20: A retired IAS official, Software Professional and grandson of former Chief Minister Devraj Urs are among the 18 candidates announced by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday for the election to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly due in May.
According to a party release, Ms Renuka Viswanathan former IAS officer of Karnataka will contest from Shantinagar in the City and Lingaraj Urs from K R Puram.
Party State Convenor Pritivi Reddy has been named the candidate for Sarvagnanagar where his key opponent is likely to be Karnataka Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George. Jammu, Aug 4 :  Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered attachment of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar after his pictures allegedly with girls in a hotel room went viral on social media. "Enquiry has been ordered into the act and the DC Udhampur Niraj Kumar (IAS) has been attached with office of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu," an official as per an order issued by the General Administration Department today said. He said Additional Deputy Commissioner Arvind Sharma has been asked to hold the charge of DC Udhampur till further orders. "The government ordered probe and initiated action against the bureaucrat after his pictures went viral on social media," said an official. Kumar in the pictures is allegedly seen under the influence of liquor with two girls. "The viral pictures have triggered gossips among IAS machinery, the government officials and politicians as well," said an official. Sources said the bureaucrat had recently checked in a hotel room with girls following which the pictures went viral. UNI
