Kasganj, May 11: Three members of a family were brutally murdered while as many were severely injured when dacoits struck their home in Sahavar area here late on Thursday night, police sources said.
Protesting against the incident, on Friday morning public blocked the roads and hurled stones on
police team, when they reached at crime scene.
The sources here on Friday said in a dacoity bid, seven to eight criminals attacked on house of
Ramkumar Pal in Awantibai Nagar here late after on Thursday night. When the family members resisted, criminals beat them up brutally after tying them with bed. Three elderly members Champa Devi (70), Ramdas Pal (60) and Maya Devi (48) died on the spot while Ajay, Aarti and Rajkumar were severely injured.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be critical. Police had to face protesters' outrage when they reached at the crime scene for investigation and to control them police used mild lathicharge.
Senior police and administrative officers rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the situation. After their assurance that criminals would be arrested soon and stringent actions would be taken against them, protesters allowed them to take custody of the bodies.
It was reported that family members were beaten by steel roads and Bawariya gang could be involved
in that.
