 SRINAGAR, AUGUST 13: Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education, Dr Pawan Kotwal today launched online licensing system for obtaining drug license and its renewal of retail sale and wholesale establishments.
Drugs & Food Control Organization (D&FCO) J&K in cooperation with XLN Cloud launched the new system for obtaining online license/renewal of retail sale and wholesale establishments under the provisions of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules 1945.
Dr Kotwal thanked NIC, specifically SO National Informatics Centre (NIC) J&K, Navneet Kukreja and team from NIC Gujarat for standing to its commitment and providing all the IT related support required in making the licensing system of D&FCO online.
He expressed the hope that the online licensing system will bring transparency, accountability and swiftness in the existing system and will reduce the time span in the licensing procedure. He also said that online licensing will strengthen the functioning of the drug regulatory system and effective implementation of working in the department.
He also said that stakeholders would be immensely benefited by adopting the online licensing system as the same exempt them from avoidable procedural hassles.
As per the process, the applicant has to upload all requisite documents as mentioned under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and then a Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA) number will be given to him. The applicant also has to submit a hard copy of the file.
Apart from checking the status, their license would be delivered on applicant’s online address and the applicant would also be able to get a hard copy of the license from the department.
On the occasion, Dr Kotwal handed over drug license to two pharmacists which will be valid up to 5 years of time span.
Controller Drug & Food J&K, Lotika Khajuria, Deputy Controller Drugs & Food Kashmir, Ishrat Amin, Administration Officer Shabeer Ahmad Lalla besides senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.

New Delhi, Aug 1: Nearly 24,000 second appeals and complaints are pending with transparency watchdog Central Information Commission (CIC), the government said today.

Systems at 2,200 public authorities or central government departments have been aligned to receive, process and reply to online RTIs from applicants, it said.

"The CIC has informed that 23,978 second appeals/complaints are pending as on July 26, 2018," Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

No such data is maintained in respect to state information commissions, he said.

"State governments have been advised to explore the feasibility of implementing online RTI portal in their states. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has been advised to provide technical support to the states desirous of replicating the web portal of the department of personnel and training for online filing of RTI applications," the minister said.

The Right to Information (RTI) Act allows a citizens to seek time-bound response to their plea seeking information on governance matters from the government departments.

They can file a second appeal and complaint under the law in case they are aggrieved over the response by government departments concerned.

To benefit from two-day camp, applicants have been asked to submit the Passport Application Form online for Fresh/Re-issue of passport under normal category and book prior appointment before visiting NIC Kargil. Applicants are requested to log on to the passport India websitewww.passportindia.gov.in to fill and submit the application form online, make payment of passport fee online through debit/credit card or internet banking (As mentioned on the website),. Appointments for the Passport Camp will be allotted by the system as per availability from 13th July to 15th July, 2018. On the appointment date/time, the applicants along with print out of appointment letter and original documents are required to visit the NIC Kargil in person for application processing, Biometric and photograph capturing.
Furthermore applicants having any issue/query regarding passport services may contact, Anil Suryawanshi (Asstt Passport Officer) during office hours at the camp venue (NIC Kargil).

Special training for resolving all issues pertaining to BEAMS
SRINAGAR, JULY 12: Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Rohit Kansal today directed the officers to work hard to greatly enhance expenditure in all sectors.
He was speaking at a meeting to review the progress under BEAMS and resolve issues, if any. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officers of all districts via video conferencing and other senior officers of the department and NIC.
Kansal said that BEAMS has greatly helped in smooth flow of funds and it is now imperative for officers to enhance the spending. He directed the officers to increase spending under state schemes, centrally sponsored schemes and Prime Minister Development Project concurrently.
The officers highlighted various issues in the meeting to which Kansal said that special training programme will be started at district levels wherein all small issues will be resolved. He said that the staff scarcity in certain districts will be addressed within next few weeks by appointing officials on the vacant posts.
Kansal said that BEAMS will revolutionize the spending in the state and also usher in new era of transparency and accountability.

JAMMU, JULY 04: The office of District Project Officer ICDS Udhampur has urged its officials and the public to take human rights pledge being promoted online by National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India
In a handout, the DPO office has asked the CDPOs, AWWs, AWHs, officials/ officers of ICDS sector Udhampur and general public to take the “Online Human Rights Pledge”, so that they may make human rights the cornerstone in the discharge of all their duties.
It is stated that the National Human Rights Commission, India, in collaboration with India’s National Informatics Centre(NIC) recently launched an “Online Human Rights  Pledge’ which is available at the following link- https://pledge.mygov.in/nhrc/ for all concerned citizens and civil society and government organizations to sign.
Interested individual/organizations can take the “online Pledge’ using the series of steps.
Pledge taker(individual or organization) can take Pledge online by entering her/his details such as name, gender, aadhar no, date of birth, pin code, state, district, email, mobile no etc in the Entry form.



Agartala, March 28: Tripura government introduced e-counseling for admission to various post graduate and under graduate medical courses to bring transparency into the system following allegations of large scale malpractice and irregularities in the process during left front rule.
Health minister Sudip Roy Barman today announced the decision of the government and said the process would bring transparency and efficiency in the allotment of seats. Now, online registration and allotment of seats shall be done through e-counseling.
The online process will be managed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The system will provide online facility for registration, document uploading and choice filling to the candidates to ease of doing allotment of seats as per the approved criteria, Roy Barman stated.
The aspiring students can fill up on-line applications from anywhere and anytime during the stipulated period. As per the policy directives, Common Counseling Committee for UG Medical and Dental Courses at RIMS lmphal, AGMC Agartala, Tripura Medical College & Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital as well as the colleges outside the state (as per availability) and PG seats available in Tripura is responsible for allotment of seats.
He pointed out that the norms and standards prescribed by MCI have been followed and this is an important step taken by the government towards good governance to bring transparency and efficiency in the allotment of seats for medical courses. UNI
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 13: On 7th day of National Integration Camp which is underway at NCC Camping Ground Nagrota various activities were organised which included National Integration Awareness presentation by cadets of Delhi, Utterkhand, West Bengal and Karnataka directorate.
A lecture cum demonstration was also organized by State Disaster Management team led by Dy Superintendent Sudershan Kumar Mehta of 2nd J&K SDRF Bn .A detail demonstration of different activities related with disaster management was given to cadets by the team. The equipment was also displayed for awareness of cadets.
          Principal Government Women College Parade, Dr Hemla Agarwal presented a lecture on culture and heritage of India.

Later, tug of war competition and quiz competition was also organised.
