Jammu, June 6: MP Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas conducted public and party karyakarta darbar to address their issues at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. BJP State General Secretary Harinder Gupta also accompanied the MP in darbar.
While attending to the visiting deputations, MP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Centre Government is working for the development of nation. BJP follows the principle of Antodaya and is ensuring that every public welfare scheme reaches the targeted population promptly. This is the Government of masses which understands every issue faced by public and as such this programme is regularly scheduled at party office.
Numerous deputations met the MP for redressal of their personal as well as public problems. Various important issues were highlighted by the deputations. Deputations asked for construction of roads at various sites. Few deputations asked for the provision of improved health facilities at their villages. Another deputation demanded digging of hand pump. Some demanded improved infrastructure for power supply in their areas.
Some deputations informed the MP about their revenue and land related matters. Others demanded construction of Nallahs,  drains and also highlighted problems related to PHE. MP addressed many of the problems  telephonically by taking up the issues to the authorities. He also issued written instructions for redressal of some issues brought in his notice by various deputations.
The whole program was coordinated by State secretary & State incharge election related matters Rajinder Sharma and State additional office secretary Suresh Sharma.


JAMMU, JULY 13 – Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh released a book on the life of Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Jammu during Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary Lecture on “Geo-Cultural Nationalism in Present Context” at convention centre here today.

The programme was organized by Deen Dayal Research Institute, New Delhi and supported by Ministry of Culture, Government of India .

During the programme, the distinguished speakers deliberated on the life and works of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay and urged the people to follow the footsteps of the legendary leader who dedicated his whole life for the welfare of poor, downtrodden and marginalised sections of the society.
Sahsarkaryawah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dattatreya Hosabale, Chairman, Research and Development Foundation for Integral Humanism Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, President, Deendayal Upadhyay Research Institute (DRI) Virenderjit Singh, General Secretary, DRI Atul Jain were among the  speakers in the programme.

The 15-volume work on the life of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay highlights various important events in the history of Independent India including Indo-Sino war, Indo-Pak war, Tashkent Agreement and his efforts for Goa’s liberation.

While addressing the gathering, the Deputy CHief Minister highlighted the contributions of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay in working for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society .He said nationalism is all inclusive and the whole country stands united in one voice when something happens against the country, that feeling is nationalism. He said that the need is to foster this feeling of oneness and nationalism among the youth and strengthen the cords of amity .
He further said the country is witnessing an overall development and marching ahead   on the path of becoming a world power

Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary, Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat, Minister of State for Finance Ajay Nanda, MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLAs, MLCs, prominent citizens and other senior leaders were also present during the lecture.


SAMBA, MAY 19:  Member Parliament,  Jugal Kishore Sharma  chaired the quarterly meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) here today .
 The meeting was attended by Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLA Samba, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Hiranagar, Kuldeep Raj , DDC Sheetal Nanda ,ADDC Vivek Sharma, SSP Anil Magotra, District Level Officers and nominated members of DDCMC. The members reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved by Rural Development, IWMP, Health, Education, PWD, PMGSY, PHE and other departments under various schemes.
Jugal Kishore directed ACD Samba to focus on proper identification of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana( PMAY) and implementing the scheme in a transparent manner by displaying list of proposed beneficiaries at panchayats and inviting objections. He also stressed on clearing the pending liabilities under MGNREGA.
He asked Executive Engineer, PMGSY to ensure that the roads under free maintenance are regularly repaired by contractors without fail and stressed on  Purmandal-Punjowa road which needs urgent restoration.
Jugal Kishore asked concerned officers to undertake regular field visits and involve stakeholders while framing any plan for its successful implementation. He appreciated the efforts of district administration in effective implementation of schemes in different sectors and said that better coordination between executing agencies may reduce the project spill over costs.
Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga called for taking strong steps for reforming the education sector in the district. He directed CEO Samba to undertake rationalization of staff so that adequate faculty is ensured in remote schools of the district. He expressed satisfaction with implementation of MUDRA scheme which has seen 226% year on year increase and disbursement of 92.56 crores till March 2017. He asked officials from NHIA to fast track process of building Foot over bridge at Chichi Mata and Flyovers at Samba, Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana.
Shamsher Singh Manhas asked RDD to prepare a sustainable plan for pond renovation under 14th FC which can be taken up in phases. He also directed CMO Samba to prepare DPR for up gradation of District Hospital Samba having all requisite labs and equipments.

MLA Samba and Hiranagar also raised various development issues of their constituencies.
