Mysuru, Apr 21: The final call on his candidature from Badami will be taken today, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday.
Speaking to newsmen at his residence, before leaving for Bengaluru he said he would hold talks with the party high command on this issue .“Congress leaders from Badami are forcing me to contest from there as well. Belagavi District In-charge Minister I B Thimmapur is here'.
Referring to Rebel Star Ambareesh not keen to contest from Mandya, the Chief Minister said 'We have given party B form to Ambareesh. It is up to him to take a stand. I am not going to meet him” .
Responding to JD(S) leader G T Devegowda’s comment that he was scared of losing, the Chief Minister said, “Isn’t Kumaraswamy a leader? Why is he contesting from two constituencies?
Let B S Yeddyurappa contest and win from Shikaripura. Then let him comment on me. BJP president Amit Shah has no morality to speak about corruption. Let him speak about his son’s corruption,” MrSiddaramaiah added.

Manipal, Karnataka Apr 13: Senior BJP leader and a trusted lieutenant of BJP Chief Minister candidate B S Yeddyurappa, Shoba Karnadlaje has said that the people of Karnataka have realised that the Siddaramaiah government in karnataka is anti-Hindu and anti-People. and hence would go in for a change in the May 12 Assembly elections.
Dubbing Mr Siddaramaiah as communal Ms Karandlaje told uni that Mr Siddaramaiah is dividing people on caste, creed and religion.. He has no courage to ask for vote on the basis of his development works, that is why he is scared about this election and dividing the society. 'He
is focusing only on dividing people. They are dividing Veerashaiva and Lingayats, Hindus and Muslims to create vote bank. They are dividing everything in Karnataka for their ‘dirty’ vote bank politics' she added.
Ms Karandlaje, representing Udupi-Chikmagalure in the Lok Sabha is leading BJP’s campaign in coastal Karnataka region Excerpts of her interview. The Congress government in Karnataka is not using the money granted by the Central government for different departments and schemes such as for rural and Swachch Bharat. The state government is neither utilising the grant nor are they implementing many schemes. They are misusing and diverting the funds. This government is totally anti-farmer too. Around 3750 farmers have commit suicide during its rule and the government has failed to pay compensation. Government is supporting PFI This government is totally communal. They are with the Popular Front of India (PFI). The PFI is anti-Hindu, anti-nation. The NIA has already said in Kerala that the PFI has connections with terrorists. They are the terrorists group in Kerala. That is why PFI workers have shifted to coastal Karnataka and all over the Karnataka, especially in Mysore and Bangaluru. They are creating problems here. Our youths are killed by the PFI workers. Already in Sarath Madivala, and Rudresh murder cases, the NIA and Mangaluru police arrested PFI workers and that is why we are demanding a ban on them.
Instead of banning the PFI, Mr Siddaramaiah is calling them for meeting for the election adjustments. The PFI and their political wing SDPI should go with the Congress and support them, this is what Mr Siddaramaiah told that group. That is why these groups are very strong in some areas as the government is supporting them. Even in Bangaluru and Mangaluru, which is a sensitive area, the PFI openly made big ‘samavesh’ and they spoke anti-Hindu, anti-Ramayana, anti-Mahabharata statements in the convention. The Last BJP governemnt Our government was in power in the state for five years. In 70 years of India’s independence, we got a chance to rule just for five years. During that period, we did a lot of work in the irrigations sector, road, and village developments by implementing such as Swarnabhoomi and Suvarna Grama Yojana. We provided bicycles to children.
People still remember the Yeddyurappa government implemented several schemes for the farmers. Zero percent loan to the farmers, loan waiver and many more for the farmers. People know that Mr Yeddyurappa was far better than Mr Siddaramaiah.
Mr Siddaramaiah is totally dividing the society and not doing anything on the developmental front. He talks only about Anna Bhagya. For that scheme, the rice and wheat are given by the Centre. Every month 2.10 lakh of food grains are coming to Karnataka and the Central government is spending Rs 450 crores every month for Anna Bhagya. But Siddaramaiah claims that the Anna Bhagya was his initiative. People know who is cheating them. Possibilities in Udupi region We are doing really very good here. We will win in all five seats. We are getting massive support. People wants this government to go and Yeddyurappa government to come back. People in the coastal areas are asking for development. UNI

Bengaluru, Apr 7: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the reported remarks of BJP President Amit Shah about a snake, a mangoose, a dog and a cat coming together to contests elections fearing the Modi flood shows desperation on his part.
In tweet, Mr Siddaramaiah said 'the times they are changing.....@Amit Shah's voice of desperation. He forgot that floods are bad for farmers, Dalits and the poor'.
During the BJP Founders day speech Mr Shah had stated that the entire opposition is rallying together to contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections unitedly and commented the move as a group of animals which have found a common place to survive the floods. UNI

Bengaluru, Nov 28: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will not campaign for Congress Candidates in the two-phase election to Gujarat legislative Assembly scheduled for December 9 and 14.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, Mr Siddaramaiah clarified that "I am not going to Gujarat for campaigning. I restrict myself to State Politics."
"However, Senior Congress leader and Minister for Energy D K Shivakumar may go to Gujarat for campaigning if he was asked by the High Command. He (Shivakumar) had campaigned in the earlier elections", he added.
Mr Shivakumar also told newsmen that he will go for Campaigning if he was called. UNI

Bengaluru, Oct 27: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today outright rejected Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) demand for resignation of Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George following FIR filed by CBI in connection with suicide by DySP M K Ganapathy on June Six-2016 alleging Mr George and two top IPS officers responsible for his suicide. Taking strong exception to the BJP demand, Mr Siddaramaiah alleged that the demand was politically motivated and the BJP raking up the case in which Mr George was given clean chit by the CID. Talking to newsmen here, Mr Siddaramaiah alleged that the BJP has no moral right to demand resignation of a Minister just because CBI filed FIR. "There are 11 Union Ministers against whom FIRs were filed, have they resigned?. Why Narendra Modi government has not sought resignations of the Ministers who are facing serious criminal charges." "There are serious charges against several Union Ministers including Uma bharati, Ananth Kumar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa to name a few, How they were allowed to continue and now demand ressignation of Mr George," Mr Siddaramaiah questioned. Mr Siddaramaiah said that BJP, when in opposition was calling CBI as 'Congress Bachao Institution' and 'Chor Bachao Institution' but now it is utilising the same institution to get clean chit to its leaders who were involved in serious charges. "The more than Rs 25,000 crore corruption charge in illegal iron ore mining were now closed utilising CBI which has stated that there is no evidence despite the Lokayukta had thoroughly investigated and provided all necessary documents. Is it not misuse of CBI by the Modi Government. When they playing double standard what moral right they have to demand resignation," he added. He said that the Supreme Court in its direction has not mentioned the names of Mr George or two IPS officers Pranab Mohanty or A K Prasad. "Without expressing its opinion on the merit of the case the Apex Court has ordered CBI may investigate." Mr Siddaramaiah alleged that the Modi government is utilising CBI as a toll for its political vendeta. He said that Congress is strong enough to politically fight against BJP and the party will not budge to threats. Mr Siddaramaiah said that Mr George resigned on his own immediately after the Kushalnagar court ordered for filing FIR and was included into the Cabinet after CID gave clean chit. Bengaluru, Oct 24: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today warned that strict action will be taken against those who attempt to disturb peace during Tipu Jayanti in the name of religion and caste. Alleging that the Opposition BJP, when in power, had supported the celebrations he said that the party was unnecessarily raking up the issue and trying to create trouble. "BJP is adopting double standards. When in power senior leader including formeer Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok and other leaders had participated and celebrated Tipu Jayanti, but now opposing it as though it was Congress which has started the programme," he added. Talking to newsmen here, Mr Siddaramaiah claimed that with Assembly elections due next year, the BJP was raking up issues which were irrelevant and was attempting to disturb peace in the State. Referring to BJP Lok Sabha member Pratap Simha's statement that those who appreciate Tipu Sultan should be hanged, Mr Siddaramaiah said that "the statement was uncalled for and shows that he has no respect to the country's Constitution on which he took Oath after getting elected. Clarifying that the programme will be held irrespective of opposition protest, Mr Siddaramaiah said that BJP just for name sake should not indulge in activities which in turn affects their own party image. Referring to recent raids by IT officials on Congress leaders, ministers and State Officers, Mr Siddaramaiah said that the raids clearly showed that it was politically motivated. "Why IT raids were not held against BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa or BJP Lok Sabha member Shobha Kharandlje or any other leaders of that party. Does it mean that they are all very clean and not indulged in corruption' he questioned. Replying to a question, he said that a Cabinet Committee is studying the irregularities that had taken place during BJP rule in power purchase and it also includes former Power Minister Ms Shobha Kharandlje.
