Bengaluru, Nov 8: Continuing its fight against corruption the BJP led NDA government at the Centre will make major announcements benefiting common people in the 2018-19 budget, Union Minister for Human Resources Prakash Javadekar today indicated. Talking to newsmen here, he said "major announcements are likely to be made in the next budget to give further boost to Direct Benefit Scheme". Digital transaction which is gaining more and more popularity will be given further boost to end corruption. "Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used to say that when I sent Rs 100 from Delhi to rural beneficiary, he/she used to receive only Rs 15 that was the Congress regime. Now Modiji send Rs 100 and poor receives in his bank account the full amount of Rs 100," he added. Mr Javadekar said that after Digital transaction was introduced about Rs 64,000 crore leakage was plugged. Claiming that demonetisation was a success, Mr Javadekar said that the Congress which could not digest the popularity the Modi government gaining every day was observing the BJP government's Anti-Black money Day as 'Black day'. "This shows that Congress is indirectly supporting black money," he added. He said that the Modi government has not only introduced demonitisation to fight against corruption but also brought in four legislations to curb black money-- Benami transaction (Prohibition) Amendement bill, the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assts) and Impositionn of Tax Act, 2005 for Foreign Black Money and Whistle Blowers Protection. Mr Javadekar claimed that after series of strict measures taken by the Modi government to fight against corruption, the planks of Poor, who were supporting Congress, are now shifting to BJP. He said that the BJP Government has plugged the loopholes of Singapore, Cyprus and Mauritius route whereby black money was converted into white money through back agreement. "Now, this revised agreement has blocked this route of diversion. The re-negotiation of Tax Treaties and automatic information exchange agreements with many countries have also helped in sharing of Real Time Information for blocking black money movement," the Minister added.  UNI
