        NOWSHERA SEPTEMBER 18: To spread awareness among electorates ahead of urban local body polls, a rally under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was organised here today.
The rally was flagged off by ADC Sachin Dev Singh from tehsil office complex in which over 200 students participated.
The rally was organised as a part of comprehensive District SVEEP Plan formulated under the guidance of District Election Officer Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad (DDC). The students in the rally carried banners, posters, placards and pamphlets highlighting the importance of voting.
While addressing the gathering, the ADC Nowshera exhorted upon the students to act as ambassadors and disseminate the message of importance of electoral participation for stronger and participative democracy. Stressing on the enrolment in the electoral roll of all those who have attained the age of 18 years, he said that this could help them in bringing out the desired changes required for the development of their area.
Tehsildar Nowshera highlighted the importance of elections and voting in democracy and appealed to the participants to register themselves in electoral rolls and cast their valuable vote in the elections. 
Deputy Chief Education Officer, Range Officer, EO Municipality, SHO also accompanied the rally.

DODA, MAY 23: On the Direction of District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) a one-day workshop for Persons with physical Disability (PWDs) Visually impaired was organised under SVEEP campaign here in the Town Hall Doda.
Around 300 persons with special needs along with their parents/guardians participated in the programme.
During the programme, the participants were familarisedabout the process of updation of electoral rolls besides form for addition, deletion, correction of date like form No. 6,7,8, 8A. They were also provided theseforms.
A high-level team of officers comprising ACR (Nodal Officer SVEEP) Tariq Hussain Naik, District Social Welfare Officer Ashraf Khurwani, District Education Planning Officer Ayaz Mughal, District Youth Service Sport Officer Ashok Kotwal, Election Naib Tehsildar Angrez Singh besides other staff of election department and partner agencies were also present.

DODA, OCTOBER 30 - Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda Mohd Hanief Malik today flagged off an awareness rally as part of SVEEP activities  to spread mass awareness about electoral registration.

More than 100 students from different educational institutions participated in the rally. The rally started from DC Office Doda which after passing through Main Road, Bus Stand, Town Hall, OPD Hospital, Tondwa and Dak Banglow culminated at DC office.

          BUDGAM, OCTOBER 28:  In order to ensure maximum participation of people in electoral process, district administration today organized awareness programmes under Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) in Budgam.
          Debates, seminars and roads shows were held for the enrollment of young voters who qualified the age of voting and to educate the participants about the electoral process and about importance of their right to exercise franchise under the democratic process.
          Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Farooq Dar flagged off a student rally at Girls Higher Secondary School Budgam which marched through the main market upto the old Bus Stand Budgam, demonstrating involvement of prospective voters.
          Similarly, road shows and rallies were taken out by students in other constituencies of the district, which marched through different markets and streets to create awareness about the enrollment of new voters and importance of their participation in the electoral process.

          Essay writing competitions were also held at different schools and other educational institutions of the district in this regard.

          BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 28: District Election Office today organized a cycle race and Marathon race from Gen. Ex. School Kanun Bandipore to Main gate Mini Secretariat Bandipora under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activity. About 50 students of various schools besides NCC and youth of Ali Supports Academy participated in the race.
      Deputy District Election Officer (DDEO) Bandipora Bilquees Jan and Deputy Chief Education Officer (District Nodal Officer SVEEP) G.M Lone flagged off the race. Officials from Youth Services and sports were also present on the occasion.
      Essay competition was also held under the same activity in which the students wrote on the topic 'Greater participation for a stronger democracy'.
      Later, an oath ceremony was held in which the participants pledged to take forward the message of the importance of enrolment in electoral roll.
      Trophies and other prizes were also distributed among the position holders and other participants on the spot.

      While addressing to the gathering, Deputy DEO and deputy CEO highlighted the importance of EPIC and asked the youth to carry the message forward so that the motto of Election Commission of India (ECI) "No voter to be left" is achieved in the district.

   UDHAMPUR OCTOBER 27: District Election Officer, Ravinder Kumar, today convened a meeting of Principals of Colleges and Nodal officers for Enrollment of Electors to chalk out activities to be conducted to encourage electors for enrollment during the Special Camp scheduled to be held on October 29, 2017 in all polling stations of assembly constituencies of the district.
            During the meeting, detailed discussion was held on activities to be organized on October 28, 2017, the date proposed for SVEEP activities.
It was decided in the meeting that Nukkad Natak, Road Show, Rangoli and Poster Making Competition would be organized in the district. Besides, Human chain, sports activities along with debate and painting competition would be held to popularize special camp to be held in all polling stations for maximum enrolment of eligible as well as left out electors on Sunday October 29, 2017.
            DEO instructed all EROs and AEROs of the district to spread mass awareness among the people regarding summary revision and special camp. He also directed for making use of social media to share motivational clips and ideas so that eligible as well as left out electors can enroll themselves.

The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal, Naib Tehsildar Election, Abdul Latif and field functionaries of Election Cell.

PULWAMA, OCTOBER 25: According to District Election Officer Pulwama general public and booth level officers of the district Pulwama are informed that Election Commission of India has desired to organize additional special camp on  October 29, 2017.
All booth level officers are directed to ensure their presence along with form 6, 7, 8 and 8A at their respective polling stations on the said date.

However, systematic  voters  Education electoral participation(SVEEP)  related activities  i,e  Sports activities, Drawing, Painting and Rangoli competition and Debate /Essay competitions will be  carried out on 28th of Oct 2017 in the District.

RAJOURI, OCTOBER 24: District Election Officer, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today informed that a final special camp will be organized on 29th of October, 2017 in all polling stations of the district.
The decision has been taken keeping in view the response and interest shown by the eligible electors during two special camps held previously in the district.
The special camp is being organized to provide a final opportunity to the eligible electors to make objections and claims for registration, correction, deletion and transposition under Special Summary Revision-2018 with 1st January, 2018 as the qualifying date.

“To popularize the additional special camp, the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities like Cycle Rally, Run for Enrolment Drive, Nukkad Natak, Road Shows, Human Chains, Debate/ Essay writing Competitions, Kite Flying, Painting, Drawing and Rangoli competitions besides a plethora of other activities will be undertaken on 28th of October, 2017”, Dr. Shahid said.

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 19: Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Batamaloo today organized a Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in the campus.
Around 400 students participated in the programme,, who were given coherent information regarding “SVEEP” by the Principal and senior staff members of the institution.

It was decided by the school authority that many more programmes will be organized in the current calendar year.

POONCH, JULY 29: An awareness program under Interactive School engagement was held at Govt Girls Model School (Sheesh Mahal) here today to educate the students about the special electorate enrolment drive being launched for let out eligible voters.
Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, who is also District Election Officer, presided over the function.
The DC sensitized the eligible students about importance of voting and said it is duty of every citizen to participate in democratic process.
On the occasion, the students raised queries about the process of electoral participation which were replied by the officials of SVEEP.
The main aim of the function was to inform the students about the ongoing process of electoral registrations started by Election Commission of India to enrol left out voters with special emphasis on group of young students with in age group of 18-21 years.

Principal GGMHSS Narender Mohan Suri, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

KATHUA, JULY 25: As part of the special drive to enroll left out electors district administration today organized an awareness rally and a cultural program   to create   awareness among young voters and enable them to participate in the voting process with enthusiasm. The rally was flagged off from Ram Leela Ground and culminated at Govt. Degree College where the main function was organised.
District Election Officer, Ramesh Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion. ADC Kathua, ACR, DFO, DIO, BDO, Principal GDC, DEPO, teachers and students in large numbers were also present on the occasion.
Underscoring the importance of this special drive DEO said that this is an all out effort meant for enrolling the left out eligible voters between the age group of 18-19 years and appealed them  to get themselves enrolled and further asked them to persuade other eligible left out electors for their enrolment. He further said that under Interactive School Engagement (ISE) which is an outreach initiative under the flagship SVEEP programme of the Election Commission of India, Election officials along with District Administration will interact with the school(Class 10th -12th ) and college going students, and reply to their queries regarding elections and the electoral process, and sensitize the students about the importance of electoral participation by eligible citizens.
          Earlier, Natrang theatre group staged ‘Loktantra Ka Mantra’, a Hindi play  through which a pledge was administered to people of all the sections of the society who are of 18 years and above that they would excise their  right to vote.

          Programs on same theme were organized at tehsil level throughout the district.

BHADERWAH, JULY 22: As per the directions of Election Commissioner of India, an awareness programme cum debate competition was organised today by District Election Officer (District Development Commissioner) Doda at Government Degree College Bhaderwah.
 The programme held under SVEEP was attended by a large number of students of college and various schools of the town.
   ACR Doda Tariq Hussain Naik was the chief guest and Principal Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Dar was the guest of honour.
Assistant Director Employment Doda Muneeb Umar (Nodal Officer SVEEP Doda), Election Naib Tehsildar Doda Angrez Singh, faculty of the college, officials from the information department and Election department were also present on the occasion.
    Prof Javed Iqbal welcomed the guests and participants. Principal GDC Bhaderwah, ACR Doda and Nodal Officer SVEEP   spoke about the importance of voting and the ongoing month long  special drive for the registration of left out voters and persons in the age group of 18-21 years. Information material regarding registration of voters and registration forms was also distributed among the students.
     The winners of the debate competition were felicitated by the chief guest.
