SRINAGAR, APRIL 10: Divisional Administration Kashmir Tuesday issued an avalanche warning for next 24-hours for hilly and avalanche prone areas of Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region. 
 “Avalanche warning valid for next 24-hours from April 10 to April 11, 2018 (1700 hrs) exists for avalanche prone slopes in Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Leh, Kargil districts of Kashmir Division and Srinagar-Jammu National Highway” a statement of the Divisional Administration said.
Accordingly, all concerned Deputy Commissioners have been asked to take precautionary measures in their respective districts and advise people not to venture in avalanche prone areas during the aforementioned period and monitor the situation regularly to avert any untoward incident.

JAMMU, MARCH 17: On the basis of information received from SASE, Medium danger avalanche warning has been issued for next 24 hrs for Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Gurez. 
Low danger warning has been issued for Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban,Doda, Kishtwar Udhampur, Anantnag, Kulgam, Badgam, Ganderbal, Kupwara-Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Bandipora, Kargil, Leh districts and Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
People living in these avalanche prone areas have been advised by the Disaster Management Authority to take precautionary measures.

JAMMU, MARCH 16: On the basis of information received from SASE, Medium danger avalanche warning has been issued for  next 24 hrs for the areas of Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Gurez, Kargil. 
Low danger warning has been issued for Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban,Doda, Kishtwar Udhampur, Anantnag, Kulgam, Badgam, Ganderbal, Kupwara-Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Bandipora, Leh districts and Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
People living in these avalanche prone areas have been advised by the Disaster Management Authority to take precautionary measures.

“Avalanche warning valid for next 24-hours from March 13 to March 14, 2018, exists for avalanche prone slopes of Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kargil and Leh districts of Kashmir Division,” a statement of the Divisional Administration said.

          SRINAGAR, MARCH 07: According to communication of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, there is a danger of avalanches from March 07 to March 08 in avalanche prone areas of Bandipora, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Leh and Kargil districts of Kashmir Division.
 The deputy commissioners of the concerned districts have been asked to advise people not to venture out in avalanche prone areas. Besides, they are also requested to all precautionary measures and to keep the SDRF, Police and para-medical staff with ambulances in readiness to avert any untoward incident.

          JAMMU, MARCH 02:  On the basis of information received from Snow & Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), the State Disaster Management Authority SDMA has issued medium danger avalanche warning for Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Kupwara-Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Bandipora, Kargil and Gurez Sector.
Meanwhile, low danger warning has been issued for Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Leh Districts and Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
The Disaster Management Authority has advised the people living in these avalanche prone areas not to venture in these spots and take precautionary measures.
