RAJOURI MAY 11: Additional Deputy Commissioner , Sher Singh convened a meeting to finalise arrangements for holy month of Ramzan besides Shab e Qadar and Eid-ul-Fitr , here today .
Senior officers of various departments, besides representatives of Managing Committee, Jamia Masjid, Rajouri and other religious organisations were present. 
The ADC directed district administration to put in all possible efforts to ensure adequate facilities at all religious places, including mosques for the devotees who come for prayers.
 He asked the concerned departments to properly regulate supply of food grains, power and drinking water during the holy month. He also reviewed the Medicare, security, cleanliness and other arrangements made for these auspicious occasions. He asked the concerned functionaries to ensure that people may not face any inconvenience on account of unscheduled  power cuts  especially at Sehri and Iftaar times and drinking water supply during the holy month.
 ADC also directed the Municipal Committee to ensure proper lighting and cleanliness in and around the Mosques located in town particularly at Eidgah where Eid prayers would be offered.
Similarly, the Police and Traffic authorities were directed to ensure security around the Mosques and better traffic management in the town to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees. 
Regarding the arrangements for Eid, the PWD and PHE departments were asked to provide power supply to eidgah and put in place water tankers at places of congregational prayers for public, while Fire Services Department was asked to be ready to meet any eventuality. The Health authorities were asked to make available sufficient number of well equipped ambulances at all the places of Eid prayers.
The ADC also directed the Legal Metrology and FCS & CA departments to conduct regular market inspection to keep a watch on overcharging by traders and quality of food stuff sold by them during these auspicious occasions.
Representatives of Muslim organizations present in the meeting putforth various demands and suggestions for making fool proof arrangements for the convenience of the people. The ADC assured that all their demands and suggestions would be given due consideration.

The meeting was attended by ACR Abdul Qayoom Mir, Addl SP Mohd Yousuf, ExEn of engineering departments and district officers of concerned departments.


Jammu  23 June: On the occasion of Sab-e-Qadar and Eid, an iftaar party was organized by the residents of Gujjar Nagar, in which a large number of people from various communities participated.
The party was held under the Chairmanship of President, Ward no 6, Gujjar Nagar, Mohd Hussain Malik and Rafiq Malik. The party was organized in the premises of Girls Higher Secondary School and attended by a number of leaders of various political parties and other social organistaions.
The Inspector General of Police, Jammu, SDS Jamwal was the chief guest on the occasion, while SSP Jammu was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, IG Jammu, SDS Jamwal gives his best compliments to the residents and the organizers of the Iftaar party and said that this is very good that the people from various communities are participated in this iftaar party. He further urged upon the people to organize such functions as this is very necessary for a healthy and peaceful society.
Among others who participated in the function included members of Rajinder Bazar traders federation, Krishan Lal Gupta, Arjun Gupta, PDP senior leaders, Mohd Akrma, Shafaqat Khokhar,Dr Rehman Din Malik. The participants lauded the efforts of Muslim federation for maintaining peace in the Jammu region. The programme was      conducted by Anwar Chowdhary.

                HANDWARA, JUNE 22: Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara today finalized the arrangements for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in officers meeting today.
The meeting was attended by all concerned officers of various departments.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed the concerned authorities for ensuring proper sanitation around Eid Gahs, Masjids besides installing LED lamps besides keeping available medical facilities at the places where big congregation takes place. He directed the Municipal authorities to conduct pre-festival and post festival cleanliness drives and ensure proper sanitation and hygiene.
The market checking squads were directed to intensify checking of illegal profiteering, hoarding, black marketing and selling of low quality food items.
Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure an adequate supply of essential commodities.

Additional Deputy Commissioner directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted & scheduled power and drinking water supply during festival days.

SRINAGAR, JUNE 22- Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today directed the officers to synergize their efforts in order to ensure smooth celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat -ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr festivities.
The Minister was addressing officers during a review meeting convened to discuss the arrangement being made in connection with the smooth celebrations of Jumat -ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr festivities.
The meeting was attended by IGP Traffic, DIG Central Kashmir, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Head of the various Departments, besides other concerned officers of various departments also attended the meeting.
The Minister stressed the concerned authorities for ensuring proper sanitation around Eidgahs, Masjids, besides also the installing of LED lamps and proper supply of electricity as well as drinking water. He also directed for keeping the requisite medical facilities at the places where big congregations take place.
Syed Andrabi also asked the Municipal authorities to put in place the requisite men and machinery for ensuring the requisite cleanliness of two main Eid gahs in the Capital cities and also those in districts and major towns.
The Minister asked the officers for proper market checking to check illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items and take actions against the culprits on the spot. He also asked for keeping adequate supply of essential commodities so that the people do not face any inconvenience.

Taking stock of traffic and security related arrangements, the Minister asked the concerned to ensure that fool proof mechanism be put in place so that any untoward incidents are prevented and people are also provided with the requite facilities of transportation from main district headquarters to different places where big religious congregations are held.

They also prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.

SRINAGAR, JUNE 22:  Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadar, Juma-tul-vida and Eid-ul-fitr in Budgam district.
          Legislator Saif-u-Din Bhat, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Harun Malik, SSP Budgam Tejinder Sigh, ADC Budgam, besides senior officers of PDD, PHE, Health, Transport, Municipality and other departments attended the review meeting.    
                On the occasion, the Minister exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure all the basic facilities’ to the people of the district and undertake cleanliness and sanitation measures in and around the worship places of Chrar-e-Sharief, Pakharpora and Makhama and other places, where a large number of devotees are expected to throng for prayers.  
          He directed the concerned to keep make arrangements for potable drinking water, adequate electric supply, and ambulances equipped with life-saving drugs and doctors at main congregation places.
          Hanjura also asked the officers to make foolproof security arrangements to ensure smooth and peaceful celebration of these holy occasions. He further directed the officials to make arrangements for smooth regulation of traffic and designate parking spots at various places to avoid traffic jams.
          During the meeting, the Minister was briefed that additional one kg sugar is being provided to each ration card holder of the district on the eve of the holy occasions, besides Animal Husbandry Department shall provide chickens through mobile vans on fair price rates at various locations in the district. He was informed that different market checking squads have been constituted to keep a check on profiteering, hoarding, and black marketing.
          The Minister stressed on intensifying market checking to ensure essentials are sold to customers at government approved rates only.

SRINAGAR, JUNE 22- Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today felicitated the people on Shab-e-Qadar and Jumat-ul-vida.

In a message of greetings, the Governor hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

Directs authorities to extend all facilities to devotees during night long prayers,Friday prayers
SRINAGAR, JUNE 22: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has felicitated people of the State on the occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat ul Vida.
In her message, the Chief Minister said the blessed night, during which the Holy Quran was revealed, is an occasion for us to introspect our lives, seek Allah’s forgiveness, generosity and guidance. She appealed people to pray wholeheartedly during this night for peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the State.
As the Holy month of Ramadhan is drawing to close, Mehbooba Mufti appealed people to do as much charity as possible in these days and join the happy moments of the destitute, orphans, widows and other victims of fate.   “We owe to them as we have been commanded by Allah (SWT) and Zakat and Sadqat are the best way to bring these segments of society back into the mainstream of happiness and prosperity”, she said in her message.
The Chief Minister also appealed people to pray for seeking His blessings on the eve of Jumat ul Vida.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed the authorities of Wakf Board and Wakf Council, Divisional Administrations of Kashmir and Jammu to provide all facilities of drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic arrangements etc to the devotees at the shrines and mosques across the State during the night long prayers and on Jumat ul Vida.
            BUDGAM, JUNE 21: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Harun Malik finalized the arrangements for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida, and Eid-ul-Fitr in a meeting with the district officers, here today.
          The meeting was attended by SSP, ACR, SDMs and the officers of FCS&CA, PDD, PHE, R&B, Health, Animal Husbandry, Sheep, Cooperatives, Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Municipality Authorities besides other concerned officers.
          Deputy Commissioner stressed upon concerned authorities for ensuring proper sanitation around Eid Gahs, Masjids, installation of LED lamps besides keeping medical facilities available at all places where big congregations takes place. He directed the Municipal authorities to conduct pre-festival and post festival cleanliness drives besides maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene levels at all times.
          The market checking squads were directed to intensify checking of illegal profiteering, hoarding, black marketing and selling of low-quality food items besides taking on spot actions against the culprits.
          Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, FCS&CA department was directed to ensure an adequate supply of essential commodities.
          Deputy Commissioner also directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply during festival days. He also directed officers vested with magisterial powers to keep close liaison with police authorities.

          It was decided in the meeting that select students from government schools in uniforms will distribute drinking water at prominent religious places on festive days, under the supervision of headmaster with the assistance of rural development authorities.

          SRINAGAR, JUNE 19: Arrangements for upcoming auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadar and Eid-ul-Fitr were reviewed in Kulgam, Anantnag and Bandipora districts today.
            In Kulgam, Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting to take stock of arrangements being put in place by the district administration.
            The availability of essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar and kerosene, transport arrangements, cleanliness in and around Masjids, streets and Eidgahs, ambulance services, uninterrupted power and water supply and repairs and renovation of roads were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
            The Deputy Commissioner instructed AD FCS&CA to ensure timely distribution of essential commodities well before Eid. Chief Medical Officer was instructed to keep available ambulance services in case of any emergency and ensure duty of doctors and paramedical staff.
            In Anantnag, Additional District Development Commissioner chaired a meeting to review supply positioning of essentials.
          AD FCS&CA apprised the meeting that against the monthly allocation of 63000 metric tonnes of rice as many as  55000 mts have been distributed among the consumers. Besides, 4516 quintals of sugar has also been distributed among the consumers during this month. It was also given out that an additional quota of one kilogram of sugar per household shall be given on the eve of Eid ul Fitr.
Similarly in Bandipora a meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner to finalize arrangements being put in place by the administration for the auspicious occasions.
          He directed for intensifying market checking for strict implementation of government rates of essential commodities
          
SRINAGAR, JUNE 19: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone today reviewed the arrangements for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in an officers meeting today.
          The meeting was attended by ADC, SDM and the officers of CA&PD, PDD, PHE, R&B, Health, Veterinary, Police, Fire and Emergency Services, SMC besides other concerned officers of various departments also attended the meeting.
          The District Development Commissioner stressed the concerned authorities for ensuring proper sanitation around Eid Gahs, Masjids, installing LED lamps besides keeping available medical facilities at the places where big congregation takes place. He directed the Municipal authorities to put in place 25 grass cutters at Eid Gah Srinagar to make the ground smooth and ensure its cleanliness.
          The market checking squads were directed to intensify the checking of illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items and take actions against the culprits on the spot.
          Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities.
          The authorities of Veterinary Department informed the meeting that the department has kept available veterinary mobile trucks at various places of Srinagar city which contain dressed chicken @ 190/kg and undressed chicken @120/kg.

          District Development Commissioner directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted/scheduled power and drinking water supply during festival days.

BANDIPORA, JUNE 15: In view of upcoming auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadar, Jum'atul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr, a meeting of concerned officers, LPG dealers and representatives of various trade unions was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Khursheed Ahmad Ganie, here today.
           The meeting discussed various issues and finalized arrangements being put in place by the district administration for smooth conduct of the holy occasions.
          The meeting held threadbare discussions on issues like traffic jamming, encroachment of footpaths, market checking, cleanliness and other issues owing to huge rush of devotees expected to throng the major mosques and shrines on these days.  
        The ADC stressed the officers to make all possible arrangements available for the people in the district and directed the officers to ensure smooth supply of ration, drinking water, LPG, power, Medicare facilities during the holy days.
